Dreaming of a white Christmas.

So it turns out I really enjoy snow still. And winter.
Which I guess actually makes sense since I always like summer in theory but in reality it's too hot and I never actually want to do any of the summery things that are good in my head but are actually just more trouble than they're worth. Like swimming.

I like to take photos of the snow lots, here are some of them...

This is the view I had out my window yesterday when I was working overtime:

Then after work I went to meet some people for lunch and I walked through many scenes like this:

Then we walked back to my cousins house and we threw snowballs at each other and also wrote hilarious things on cars:

(The LOL was already there, we added the cat, made it better.)

It turns out that canvas chucks are not ideal for walking through frozen water and I definitely have some kind of frostbite/freezer burn situation going on in the toe area, but meh.

I also said ages ago that I would put up pics of my flat/room but I am a slack blogger so there they are now:

Pretty exciting.

I still don't really know my flatmates/never really see them.

Also, Gabs I didn't take any pics of anything Harry Pottery but these are the Christmas lights down Regent Street:

They go all the way down around that corner and they are all Narnia themed. Which is weird/tacky.

Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

Yesterday at work we had 2 minutes silence for the Miners. It's weird being out of the country when stuff like that happens, I guess it's been a pretty big deal at home? And it's obviously horrible. But sitting in our meeting/lunch eating room not talking for 2 minutes seemed kind of ridiculous. And awkward. And at the end no one really knew what to do so we actually sat in silence for like 3 and a half minutes before someone finally said something and we all went back to work.

Also I had this song in my head the entire time:

And I was pretty much just silently singing along to that. To be fair I had been listening to it on the way to work but I'm probably still a bad person.

Lots of things have happened this week!
I have a flat!

I am moving in tomorrow which is gonna be pretty weird because I haven't actually met any of the flatmates... Awkward.
I was told they are all like young professional guys. I wonder if they even know I'm coming?
ALSO the door to my room only opens half way because there is a giant wardrobe behind it. Someone was real good at furniture arrangement/installation.
Oh well it will be good because I will have my own space and also I am still close to work. Plus all the bills are included in the rent. Who needs a fully functioning doorway? NOT ME.

ALSO THIS WEEK IT HAS SNOWED QUITE A LOT:

I still find this to be pretty exciting and I don't even really mind being cold a lot of the time. Probably this will wear off at some point. My only worry is the constant fear of slipping over but I have that even when it's not snowing so it's no biggie.

Also we had our work Christmas party which wasn't really a party since there are only like 12 of us... it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and after I went to the pub with some people until too late and then I was real sleepy today at work.

Tomorrow if I have internets maybe I will put up some pics from my new home.

That is all.

OH ALSO THEN I WILL BE FREE TO SKYPE WHEN I LIKE. (Lucy I'm looking at you DRUNK SKYPE.)
